    The Gratitude List

    If you find yourself overly worrying, feeling anxious, or overwhelmed with mental noise, today’s blog is for you. You are not alone

    You deserve to feel love, joy, peace in the present moment. Inspired by best-selling author Eckhart Tolle’s fantastic book “ The Power of Now” I learned that every minute spent dwelling on the past or worrying about the future is forever wasted. The only time we have is now.

    Here are 3 simple ways to unlock the power of now and live life to the fullest:

    1. You are not your mind.

    Don’t believe everything you think. Remember that thoughts are not facts. To break free from the negative thoughts loop, reconnect to your instant feel-good emotions. Keeping a gratitude journal is a fantastic way to release stress, fears, and focus on the positive things in your life right now. Research shows that writing a gratitude list not only roots in the present but makes us happier human beings on a daily basis.

    • Avoid social media and get outdoors!

    Switch off from the online world and reconnect with nature and your surroundings. A walk in the park, exercising with friends, or any activities outdoors are great ways to live in the present. A social media detox is crucial to relearn to live in the present moment and put self-care into action.

    Pay attention to the little things that bring you joy: what are they? Maybe it’s a hug from your kid without being asked, or listening to your favorite songs, or doing some breathing exercise. Notice what brings pleasure in your current life right now — not what will in the future — rather get really specific about what you do have.

    • Create daily rituals to check-in with yourself:

    Here’s my favorite — every night I lit up a candle, made myself a warm cup of herbal tea, and let soothing  music play in the background. I then get myself comfortably seated on the sofa, and I journal my way to happiness in my Gratitude List journal, as I sip on heavenly tea. I write down 5 things about my day, specifically about the last 24 hours (Oprah Winfrey swears by it!),  that I feel grateful for. Giving thanks is one of the simplest, and most effective ways to live the present moment with grace. Try it, you’ll feel limitless
